A LONG BRIEF MOMENT

By Michelle Scirocco

Evening sun
Moves
Across uneven clouds of grey
I look from my window
At a boy
Idling
Down the street
Lights turn on
In houses
Across the way
Supper smells
Trail
From the windows
And linger
For a long
Brief moment
As I am lost in my thoughts
